About Suffolk Heritage Direct
The Suffolk Heritage Direct website is provided and managed by Suffolk County Council on behalf of a growing partnership of heritage organisations, societies and local interest groups from across Suffolk. You can expect to find ever-changing and growing content that will include collections and materials from museums, archives, local studies and archaeology. You will find:
- Fully searchable and interactive selected catalogue of records from the databases of the Suffolk Record Office, museums and Archaeology services.
- Images of some of the objects, artefacts, photographs and documents described in the catalogue records.
- Resources for teachers and Life-Long learning.
- Contacts for key heritage organisations in Suffolk.
- Links to other organisations that hold material relating to the county's history e.g. The National Archives.
